B.
LOADBREAK FUSE CUTOUT The Morstar Loadbreak Cutout was developed to operate in overhead distribution systems rated at 15, 27 and 38 kV grounded systems with 100 or 200 A nominal currents.
Specially designed to protect transformers, capacitor banks, cubicles, lines and branches.
With this arc chute , the versatility of the Morstar protection equipment is enhanced, allowing on-load openings without the need of special tools for its operation.
Its characteristics are similar to a type Morstar Standard Cutout, which provides protection from short-circuit and overloads that just melt the fuselink through the maximum interrupt capacity of the fuseholder.
The Loadbreak opening device enables the lineman to interrupt load current by means of a simple operation with a hookstick. To break the current, the lineman inserts a hookstick into the operating ring and rapidly opens the device.
Its operation is independent of the lineman’s operating speed for the current is transferred from the top contact of the cutout to a mechanism with a spring-loaded stainless steel blade during the opening, where the arc is elongated, cools down and extinguishes itself.
It may be applied on any three-phase system voltage rated at or below the maximum operational rating of the cutout.
This equipment was developed for switching currents up to 300A, by means of an electrolytic copper blade.
The Morstar fuse cutouts designs are tested in accordance with TCVN, ANSI and IEC standards.

C. DISCONNECTING BLADE The Disconnect Blade is indicated for use with the Morstar cutout. Replaces the fuse holder into a disconnect switch. Permanent 300A current carrying capacity.
It consists of a copper tube of high conductivity, with contacts in silver bronze and with eye for operation with Manouver.
Manufactured for the 15kV, 27kV and 38kV voltages and use with the "Morstar Cutout" , this model allows the opening under load with the use of the opening tool under load.

D. TEMPORARY CUTOUT 27Kv Cutout, Temporary 27kVTo provide fuse protection during live-line maintenance, the temporary cutout tool simply clamps onto primary conductor with a Grip-All clampstick. Brass stud at lower end accepts clamp on temporary tap jumper. Insultated bushing and hot parts are from Type C-Polymer cutouts: Upper contact with integral sleet shield and hooks for operation by loadbreak tool and lower trunnion of cast bronze. Fusetube must be fitted with fuselink rated no larger than 100 amps.
Cutout, Temporary 27kV W/ Solid BladeTo provide fuse protection during live-line maintenance, the temporary cutout tool simply clamps onto primary conductor with a Grip-All clampstick. Bronze stud at lower end accepts clamp on temporary tap jumper. Orange 1.25"-diameter Epoxiglas® member fitted with two EPDM-rubber storm skirts serves as the cutout bushing. Cutout hot parts are identical to Chance Type C cutouts: Upper contact with integral sleet shield and hooks for operation by loadbreak tool and lower trunnion of cast bronze. Fusetube should be fitted with fuselink rated no larger than 100 amps.
Cutout, Temporary 27kV W/ Load Disconect This tool provides a temporary means of connecting and disconnecting equipment or circuits under load conditions. This tool design does not have a fuse and does not provide protection for fault or overcurrent conditions. Hot parts are identical to Chance Type C cutouts, including the tubular-copper disconnect blade. The tool simply clamps onto primary conductor with a Grip-All clampstick. Brass stud at lower end accepts clamp on temporary tap jumper. An arc-chute-type interrupter gives the tool its excellent loadbreak capability. To interrupt load currents, the device makes use of a stainless-steel auxiliary blade within a Delrin® arc chute. This self-contained loadbreak device operates by a simple disconnect stick. No special or portable tools are required to operate the unit. To break the current, just insert a disconnect stick into the operating ring and rapidly open the device. In the process of opening, the spring-loaded auxiliary blade snaps out through the arc chute to elongate, cool and extinguish the confined arc. This loadbreaking operation is independent of the disconnect stick speed. To provide a clearly visible break, the disconnect blade hangs in approximately a vertical position.
